After undergoing surgery for her severely torn left ACL ligament, Beth Phoenix hoped to answer the many questions and concerns that the WWE Universe has expressed about her progress and wellbeing.
“The WWE Universe has been wonderful with its outpouring of encouraging support,” expressed a grateful Glamazon as she recuperated in her hospital bed. The beauty from Buffalo wasted no time revealing her state of mind as she begins the long road to recovery – and hopefully returning to the ring better than ever.
“I can’t afford to spend one day feeling sorry for myself, to feel sad or pitiful, because that’s energy that I could be putting into picking myself up.
“Over the years, I’ve built my career on one simple principle: the idea that I will always rise again,” the dominant Diva continued, embodying the true essence of her resilient name. “Whether struggling against the obstacles that stood in the way of me becoming part of WWE, coming back from surgeries or losing titles, I welcome the challenges that life throws my way. This will be no different.”
However, in order for The Fabulous Firebird to rise from the ashes once again, she will need more than her unparalleled dedication and drive.
Beth Phoenix underwent successful surgery on her ACL this morning in Birmingham, Alabama.
I want to wish Beth a speedy recovery and I’m really gonna miss her on Smackdown. Hope she heels quick and returns whenever she feels she is ready to get back.
WWE.com has released Beth’s newest titantron on their website. Hopefully I will be able to get screen captures and a download for you all soon, but for now enjoy the video from WWE’s site.

Beth Phoenix will have surgery on Tuesday with Dr. James Andrews for her torn ACL. No time table has been set for her return but she should be out several months. Below is the blog she wrote on her WWE Universe about her recent injury.
Two weeks ago on Superstars, I had a match against new SmackDown Diva, Rosa Mendes. During the course of the match I was able to reverse an Irish Whip into the corner and counter Rosa with an Up and Over maneuver where I jump out of the turnbuckle, over her and show her what The Glamazon is made of. However, when I landed, feet side by side, as I have thousands of times over the course of my career, my left knee buckled to the side and I heard a very distinctive, “Crunch.”
My first instinct was to retain the WWE Women’s Championship at all costs and found the opportunity to dodge Rosa’s attack and get the pinfall victory. However, as I tried to stand to get my hand raised, I could tell something was definitely not right.
I was immediately examined by our WWE medical staff whom decided it would be a good idea to get things checked via an MRI. As I sat in the doctor’s office, waiting for the results, all I could think about was the WWE Women’s Championship and how I was not about to let anything get in the way of working to bring prestige to the title that I cherish so dearly.

Michelle uses the ropes for more damage. Michelle with a head scissors but Beth kicks Layla away and then she gets Layla and Michelle up for a double Samoan drop but Beth appears to have further injured her knee. Beth gets a near fall on Layla when Beth breaks up the cover. Beth with an Irish whip and then Michelle and Beth collide and both go down. Michelle rolls to the floor and Layla gets the three count on Beth.
Beth Phoenix’s knee is in pretty bad shape and she will be out of action for some time. Beth injured it last week on Superstars in a match with Rosa Mendes. Beth Phoenix reportedly suffered a torn ACL that is expected to keep her out of action indefinitely.
