There have been rumblings that WWE is close to bringing back a former Women’s Champion to feud with Beth Phoenix and Natalya. No word yet on who that might be.
The Raw Superstars & Divas are currently over in Japan and while there a former Women’s Champion popped up back stage for a quick visit. That former champion is Bull Nakano. Beth was very excited to finally get to meet her, she even posted a photo from the backstage encounter. You can check that out now over at BethPhoenixPhotos.com.
Kelly and Brie start things off and Brie shakes her butt at Kelly before locking up. Kelly is distracted by Beth Phoenix and Natalya who runs laps through the arena and the Bellas double team Kelly. Kelly with a slap and a screaming spinning head scissors take down and Alicia makes the tag. Nikki trips Kelly before she can do the stinkface. Brie is tripped by Alicia and Alicia with a flip leg drop for the three count.
WWE.com uploaded an exclusive video of Beth & Natalya demanding to know what Alicia Fox was talking about on her phone backstage. You can watch the video now on WWE.com at the link below.
Beth Phoenix and Natalya versus AJ Lee and Kaitlyn
Natalya and Kaitlyn start things off and Natalya with a knee in the corner. Natalya misses a charge into the corner and sends Natalya into the turnbuckles. AJ tags in and Kaitlyn sends AJ into Natalya. AJ with a head scissors that sends Natalya into the ropes. AJ with a rollup from a wheelbarrow position for a near fall. Natalya pulls AJ down by the hair and then Natalya locks in the Sharpshooter and AJ taps.
Winners: Natalya and Beth Phoenix
After the match, Kaitlyn checks on AJ and then leaves the ring. Beth gets the mic and says that it is ‘Cry Time’. Natalya locks in the Sharpshooter again and she bridges back. Alicia Fox has seen enough so she takes off her headset and stands at the announce table for a little bit before going into the ring at a nice, leisurely pace. Natalya releases the hold and Beth and Natalya leave the ring since they are pleased with their work.
A while back both Natalya & Beth showed us a preview of a shoot and WWE has finally released the shoot. It was worth the wait even though I can’t stand waiting. They released 8 absolutely amazing photo and I have named the shoot “Strong Inspirations” since both Beth & Natalya are very inspirational with the way they look in this new shoot.
It’s the day after Thanksgiving and Beth will be on Smackdown to give all us Glamazon fans for holiday cheer. Check the spoilers below to see what Beth will be up to this Friday night.
Alicia Fox is on commentary. The WWE Rewind shows Beth Phoenix defeating Eve at Survivor Series.
Beth Phoenix and Natalya defeated AJ and Kaitlyn in a squash after Natalya applied the sharpshooter on AJ to get the submission. After the match, Kaitlyn leaves AJ in the ring while Beth and Natalya try to make her cry. Alicia Fox runs in to make the save. A referee and Fox carry AJ to the back.
WWE.com uploaded an exclusive video of Beth & Natalya showing off their very own “Pin-Up Strong Illustrated” magazine with none other then themselves on the cover. You can check out the video now on WWE.com at the link below.
Natalya has uploaded 2 Twitter photos previewing and upcoming shoot with herself and out Beth Phoenix. The girls look so amazing and I really hope WWE doesn’t wait to long to release it. Just check out the previews up in our gallery and enjoy.
Alicia Fox and Kelly are playing WWE ’12 and Natalya and Beth interrupt and they talk about the game. Natalya says that when they beat up the Barbie doll characters, they don’t cry like in real life. Beth and Natalya walk away.
WWE Divas Championship Lumberjill Match – Beth Phoenix (c) vs. Eve
The divas who are acting as Lumberjill’s make their way to the ring first, as a group. Eve is the first competitor to make her way out to the ring, to a bit of a reaction from the crowd. Beth Phoenix is out next with Natalya in tow, she gets a bit of a reaction too.
The bell rings and we’re ready to begin. Both women lock up and Beth pushes Eve away. Eve responds with a big forearm and she tries for a cross body but Beth catches her and just drops her to the mat. Eve kicks away at Beth before shaking her butt in Beth’s face. Beth bails to the floor but she’s sent right back in. Eve hits a neckbreaker and a standing moonsault for a near fall.
Eve goes to the apron and she’s distracted by the heel diva’s, this allows Beth to get the upper hand, and she slingshots Eve while her head is underneath the bottom rope. Beth locks in a rear chin lock, mounting Eve, to wear her down. Eve fights out of the hold, and is able to send Beth into the corner before hitting a flurry of elbows and kicks, finished off by a clothesline.
Eve goes for a senton but Beth gets her knees up and Eve crashed into them. Beth tries for the glam slam but Eve fights it off, locking in what looks to be an octopus hold. Beth is able to break the hold. Both women go for roll ups but can’t get the win. Eve hits a big kick to the side of Beth’s face. Eve goes up to the top, but Beth pushes her down on the top rope. Beth goes up to the top, but Eve fights back. Eve continues to try and fight back, but Beth grabs her arm, and delivers a glam slam from the top rope! Beth gets the three count to retain.
WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix plays a bully in the ring. But she tries hard to make sure girls who look up to her understand the difference between what happens on WWE Raw and Smackdown and how she really feels about bullying. Phoenix is one of several members of the WWE roster who is part of the “be a STAR” anti-bullying campaign.
Phoenix will also defend her Divas Championship at WWE Survivor Series in New York City and live on pay-per-view Sunday. The event will feature the much-anticipated return of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to a WWE ring when he teams with John Cena to face The Miz and R-Truth. In a phone interview with the Times Thursday, the Glamazon talked about the “be a STAR” campaign, Survivor Series, The Rock, and working with ‘model’ Divas.
First of all, where are you calling from today?
Right now on way home to Syracuse, New York. I stayed an extra day to see a concert in Boston after our show there Monday.
Who did you end up seeing?
Foo Fighters actually. It was pretty awesome.
Can you tell me about the “be a STAR” anti-bullying campaign and your involvement in it?
The “be a STAR” campaign is across the board for all of the WWE Superstars and Divas. It stands for Show Tolerance And Respect. It’s a great program where we are trying to actually discourage bullying not only in playgrounds and schools, but across the board. We just find it’s becoming a growing issue in entertainment and media and we’re trying to use our voices as WWE Superstars and television personalities in order to influence children to avoid the pitfalls of falling into bullying and basically falling prey to bullying. So on both sides of the coin – being a bully and someone who has been bullied – we’re trying to push kids to find alternative ways to work out their problems.
Were you ever bullied growing up?
Growing up, I actually was a victim of bullying myself in school. I was a really shy kid and had a couple opportunities to strike back in the face of a bully and I chose not to, chose to take the quieter route. I think maybe that gave me inner strength to become a more confident adult because I chose not to encourage bullying, I chose not to fight back, and then looked within myself to find inner strength and be stronger than that. From my own experience, I can relate very much to kids who are in that situation. You don’t know what to do, you feel victimized, you feel sad, you feel scared. But I think the most important thing to do is make it known that it’s not acceptable, it’s not the correct way to handle things and it should not be tolerated.
