Beth & Edge STAR Appearance at Dr. King School in Syracuse, NY

STAR, which stands for “Show Tolerance And Respect,” will promote positive methods of social interaction and encourage people to treat others as equals and with respect. When Beth Phoenix and “Edge” were students in school, kids tried to bully them. They were picked on because they were smaller than others in school. “Did they bully back?” Nope, they learned to show respect and ask an adult for help. These WWE stars came to Dr. King School recently to give them this message. BE A STAR and don’t let the bullies win. They told them to be strong and NOT bully back. They need to tell their teacher, principal or another adult. The bully will not have anyone to bully if you stay away from bullies. There was excitement in the air when the stars came to Dr. King. Students listened to every word that the “Be a Star” wrestlers told them. Everyone hopes the students can STOP bullying at Dr. King. It was a great day for Dr. King.

Diva Focus: Best of Wrestlemania Weekend

Well WWE.com got lazy this week and for our Diva Focus we got just some reused photos from Wrestlemania weekend. These photos are consider “The Best of Wrestlemania Weekend” which in my opinion wasn’t some of the best photos, but you know how they are. The only photo Beth even got was just a blown up photo from the Wrestlmania 28 press conference.

Tonight was the always popular Hall of Fame ceremony and I don’t know about you guys, but I love to see what the Divas were to the event. Now WWE.com has yet to release much in the way of Divas photos from the ceremony, but both Beth and Natalya posted beautiful photos on their Twitters from the show. Making Wishes Come True: Make A Wish Private Signing

Up to 50 Make-A-Wish kids and other children from various wish-granting agencies across the world and their families enjoyed a private autograph signing with Sheamus, Big Show and Divas Champion Beth Phoenix. The children enjoyed autographs, photos and a chance to meet with their favorite Superstars.

Eli, timid at first, quietly told the Divas Champion he was looking forward to Rock vs. Cena and seeing Triple H end Undertaker’s amazing WrestleMania streak. “I’m curious about the ending to that too,” Phoenix said with a smile on her face.

Big Show was treated to Bradley, a proud member of the Cenation, happily waving “U Can’t See” to The World’s Largest Athlete. The Giant shared some laughs and was more than happy to take pictures.

Coming all the way from Ireland, Dylan was really excited to meet Sheamus. He even brought his Irish flag with him. “Am I allowed to sign the Irish flag?” Big Show smiled. “I’m Irish too, you know!” Dylan’s mom was touched by the moment as well. “The power of a wish,” she said with tears in her eyes.

Sheamus was just as excited to meet Dylan.

“Each kid is special and touched my heart in their own way,” Sheamus said. “There were so many amazing kids and families.” But The Great White also noted that all of the kids he met wanted him to Brogue Kick World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania. “And I’m going to do everything I can to make that come through,” Sheamus smiled.

Big Show noted how events like this really is what WrestleMania is about. “It’s about our fans and our relationship with our fans,” an emotional Big Show said. “We give back and they give us so much in return.”

Phoenix was truly touched by spending the evening with such inspiration children and families.

“It’s an opportunity to give back to these great kids dealing with big problems,” The Glamazon explained. “This puts it in perspective – what’s important in life. It’s an honor to be a part of Make-A-Wish.”

Throughout the past 25 years, WWE has granted more than 3,500 wishes (and counting) with Make-A-Wish Foundation, putting smiles on the faces of Wish children and their families.
